Drone Low-Noise Propellers Mavic Pro Platinum
DJI Spark Noise announced a new iteration from the popular Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro Platinum. As well as present with brighter paint jobs, Platinum comes with a slightly longer flight time and promise of noise reduction compared to the standard model.Drone Low-Noise Propellers Mavic Pro Platinum
At launch, it was a bit underwhelming. But only because we expect something far greater. New paint jobs have somehow become press-release-worthy in 2018, so it takes a while for the small improvements that accompany them to be appreciated.
Mavic Pro Platinum's offers upgrades to flight time and noise. Some internal and external tweaks give Mavic Pro Platinum an 11 percent gain in flight time (taking 30 minutes) and 60% noise reduction. This is provided by a combination of a new low-noise propeller and a redesigned FOC ESC driver, which offers sinusoidal flow and increased stability.
Test the Props for Low-Noise Mavic Pro from DJI Spark Noise
The good news for Mavic Pro standard pilots is that the new low noise props are compatible with old Mavic. During the past week, we have tested them to see if we can hear the difference. So are they worth the extra $ 20?
The brilliant answer is: Yes.
According to DJI, "When used with Platinum Mavic Pro, up to 4dB (60%) aircraft noise is reduced during takeoff and landing, and flight time is extended to 30 minutes. Noise reduction and flight time also increase when used with Mavic Pro, but not as much as ".Drone Low-Noise Propellers Mavic Pro Platinum
Although we did not see a large impact on flight time, there was no doubt that the volume and tone of the Mavic Pro had been changed. This may be 5% quieter, which is not much but enough to be seen. What's more important to us is the change in the field. Mavic standards can sound a little whiny, like mosquitoes that are annoying and very large. With the new Mavic Pro Platinum support device, tones that are folded tightly and hum don't produce the same annoying whining.
For $ 20, you can't really be wrong. Sure, the repairs are small, but if you are looking for ways to fly your Mavic a little more striking, look no further.
Prioritizing Community Perception
It is said that DJI has taken steps to address noise problems in 2017. Just as new paintworks are given to the Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro, noise problems are essentially cosmetic. Although low noise aids improve the pilot experience, they are designed to improve public perceptions as well.
We doubt this will be the last step taken by drone manufacturers to make their planes more community friendly from a cosmetic perspective.
Overall appearance:
Blade performs well!
The motor rotates around 100-120 rpm less when flying. That shows that props provide more power per rotation.
In Pro I don't see any improvement in flight time, but I have to say that I have pushed it occasionally because there are stories about props that hit the shell in sports mode.
I have flown in sport mode, fighting against the wind to see what it will do, biting the story is not true, props never hit the body.
If there is an improvement in flight time, I will tell you as soon as I can head out and test it.Drone Low-Noise Propellers Mavic Pro Platinum
DJI Spark Noise noise:
Yes, the knife produces a little noise! it's 100% true!
There is a little noise when flying, but once you take off you will see the most difference.
Removing a different sound, there is a little noise, and the noise is different.
With old props you can really hear props hitting the air (helicopter sounds) but with low noise aids you don't have them ... of course there is sound, but it's different,,
